The self-service update center is a website, where you can update or correct your Aadhar details from the portal. We are going to show you how you can do so. To update and correction follow the steps.
Step 1: Go the official site.
Step 2: On the bottom, you have a link, click on the link to proceed.
Step 3: The next page contains your details, where you have to provide to the proceeding. Enter your Aadhar card number and then click on send OTP.
Step 4: Now the UIDAI will send you a message with the OTP (one-time password) in it, so keep your phone near to you at this moment.
Step 5: You have to fill in the information and make the necessary changes which you want to make to your Aadhar card.
Step 6: You have to select the areas which you want to make changes, for example, Address, as most people are living in rented house, they have different address once in a year. You can even go for the name, D.O.B, etc. When you have selected, then click on “Submit.”
Step 7: The next step is to upload the supporting documents like Electricity bill (Current month) for address, Birth certificate for D.O.B or Affidavit, for the gender you can even submit your 10th class + 12th class certificate, and more. Upload colour scanned documents to the site.

Step 8: Number, so that you can track the status of your aadhar.
So, what’s next?
It will take few days for the request to proceed, but until then you have to wait. It will take more than 15 days for the UIDAI to process your work but when your aadhar is updated, you will receive a message from the official texting depart.
You will get a Message and Email confirmation regarding your updating. In next fifteen days, you will have the updated aadhar card at your doorstep. Or if you can’t wait for 15 days; then once the Aadhar card is updated, you can download e aadhar copy.
